Here's a Highland single malt with a Portuguese detour. Glenmorangie ages The Quinta Ruban for 14 years in bourbon casks, then moves it into ruby port pipes for a final stretch — "Quinta" is Portuguese for wine estate, "Ruban" is Gaelic for ruby. That port finish brings walnut and black pepper alongside mandarin orange, melted marshmallow, and dark chocolate with a whisper of peppermint. Bottled at 46% and non-chill filtered for a silkier texture. Sip it neat, with a splash of water, or over ice.
Tasting notes
The bourbon was allowed to finish for 3.5 month in these barrels adding complementary notes of the chocolate, toffee, and hints of coffee to the underlying bourbon.
