Glenmorangie built its name on some of the tallest stills in Scotland, which coax out a delicate, fruity spirit. For Lasanta, that whisky spends around ten years in ex-bourbon American oak, then two more finishing in Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks from Jerez. The Spanish influence shows up as raisins, honeycomb, and chocolate-covered hazelnuts, with a warm ribbon of cinnamon. The name is Gaelic for warmth and passion. Pour it neat, with a splash of water, or over ice.
