George Dickel Tennessee Sour Mash Whisky (the Classic Recipe expression) is made at Cascade Hollow Distilling Co. in Tullahoma, Tennessee, from a mash of 84% corn, 8% rye, and 8% malted barley. Before going into new charred American oak barrels, the whisky is chill charcoal mellowed through sugar maple charcoal via the Lincoln County Process, then built on George Dickel's signature sour mash fermentation method. Expect light caramel, honey, and wood on the nose, with vanilla, buttered corn, and a touch of maple on the finish. Pour it over ice or shake into a Tennessee whisky sour.
