Cabernet has been Far Niente's signature since their very first vintage in 1982, made at an Oakville estate that sits in the heart of Napa's Cabernet country. Fruit from the estate joins select hillside and valley-floor vineyards, then rests around 17 months in French oak. Expect mixed berries, baking spice, and hints of dried lavender and thyme, with black tea and toasted oak filling out a full palate. Fine-grained tannins, a silky, lifted finish. Decant, then pour beside a grilled ribeye.
