Elvi Wines' El26 is a dry red blend from Priorat, Spain's rugged DOCa region famed for slate-and-quartz "llicorella" soils. Crafted mainly from old-vine Garnacha with a touch of Cariñena, it's produced by Elvi Wines, a Priorat estate run by the Cohen family using organic, near-biodynamic farming. Expect a medium-to-full-bodied glass layered with dark plum, dried herbs, cured meat, and warm baking spice, backed by firm, silky tannins and a long, cocoa-tinged finish. Pour it alongside grilled meats, aged cheese, or a hearty stew.
