El Mexicano comes from a family recipe three generations deep — the Bañuelos family running pot stills in Mexico (NOM 1588), with fermentation rooms said to play classical music while the agave cooks slowly. The Blanco is straightforward blue agave: fresh citrus and yellow lemon lead the nose with a cooling mint edge, giving way to cooked agave and a long, herbal finish that lingers without getting sweet. Bottled at 80 proof, it's built to hold up in a Paloma or margarita, or sipped neat alongside seafood.
Tasting notes
Crystalline, limpid color with a bright edge that shows us its youth and purity.
Aroma
At first nose you perceive the cooked agave at its maximum expression with secondary citrus aromas, such as yellow lemon with the presence of mint and brine.
Sabor
Cooked agave with a medium attack accompanied by sweet citrus fruits and an herbal finish that gives balance. Long aftertaste that invites us to continue tasting its flavor.
