Easton is the old-vine Zinfandel side of Bill Easton's Amador County winery, and the Estate Bottled comes from the vines circling the Shenandoah Valley cellar itself. Amador is one of Zin's spiritual homes, where some gnarled vines trace back to the 1860s. Expect the region's signature briary raspberry and blackberry, a whisper of wild sage and cocoa, and a peppery, warm finish that rewards a little cellar time.
