Don Melchor Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 is Concha y Toro's flagship icon wine, made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon grown in the Puente Alto vineyard on alluvial soils at the foot of the Andes in Chile's Alto Maipo Valley. Winemaker Enrique Tirado blends select parcels for a wine that opens with blackcurrant, sweet tobacco, and cedar aromas, then shows a full-bodied palate of ripe dark fruit framed by fine, structured tannins and a long finish. The 2019 vintage earned a 98-point score from James Suckling. Pour it alongside grilled ribeye or aged hard cheeses to match its depth and structure.
