This VSOP comes from Distillerie des Moisans in Sireuil, deep in Cognac country, where the Bru Legaret family has run a twelve-still Charentais distillery since 1960. The blend leans on eaux-de-vie from the Fins Bois and Petite Champagne sub-regions, rested in Limousin oak until fresh fruit aromas soften into something spicier and more elegant. Pour it neat after dinner, or over a single large ice cube to slow it down and let those notes unfold.
