This masterful expression is initially matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels, building a foundation of soft vanilla and honey notes. The liquid is then transferred to rare casks first used for 30-year old Matusalem Oloroso Sherry, adding depth and silken elegance to the finished whisky, as testament to those exquisite Sherry casks.Hand-selected from the famous Gonzalez Byass bodega in Jerez de la Frontera, this whisky spends a decade in these exceptional casks for an outstanding finish.The Dalmore 21 is bottled at 43.8% ABV, and is an exquisite whisky and a rare thing of beauty.
Tasting notes
Aroma: seville oranges, bitter chocolate, Columbian coffee and vanilla
Palate: sweet licorice stick, Black Forest fruits, roasted walnuts and thick marzipan
Finish: notes of peaches, ginseng, pear tart tatin and Sanguinello blood oranges.
