Loch Lomond distills this single malt using both its signature straight-neck stills and traditional pot stills, then marries three types of American oak casks — finished in virgin American oak — under Master Blender Michael Henry. Created with golf ambassador Colin Montgomerie to mark The Open at Royal St George's, it opens with caramel, poached pear and vanilla, moves into green apple and apricot jam, and finishes on toasted oak, cinnamon and a gentle wisp of smoke. Non-chill filtered at 46% ABV, it's an easy sipper for settling in to watch the leaderboard, neat or with a single ice cube.
Tasting notes
Nose: Lemon citrus, green apple, pear, vanilla
Taste: Vibrant orchard fruit, fresh peach and pear, blossom honey and toasted oak.
Finish: Medium length with cinnamon spice and soft smoke
