This peated Single Malt Scotch Whisky was distilled at Ben Nevis Distillery. Don't be fooled by its age, this whisky had great character from day one - hence why Martin bottled this as a five year old. He has also written "TCP" in the nosing notes. Why gargle on TCP when you can choose some lovely whisky?
Each bottle is individually numbered, one of 287 x 700ml bottles at a strength of 54% vol.
All bottles have been lightly filtered but may still contain some small traces of cask sediment. No colouring has been added and the whisky has not been chill filtered.
Nose: Robust and medicinal. Heavy campfire peat, ash, and maritime brine mingle with Ben Nevis's signature oily malt, charred oak, and subtle orchard fruit sweetness.
Palate: Full-bodied, warming, and intensely punchy. Viscous peat smoke coats the tongue alongside layers of salted caramel, cracked black pepper, citrus oil, and a distinct herbal undertone.
Finish: Long, smoky, and satisfyingly dry. Fades with lingering wood ash, malted barley, and warm baking spices.
