This is the first whiskey distilled in County Mayo in over 150 years. It is made from 100% malted Irish barley and aged for at least four years in a combination of ex-bourbon oak barrels as well as oloroso sherry barrels. Crafted by the Atlantic in custom copper pot stills and bottled at 94 proof.
Tasting notes
Aromas of raisins, dried fruit, honey, fudge, butterscotch, almond and star anise fill the nose, complemented by notes of vanilla, malt, dried fruit, baking spices, walnuts and honey throughout the palate.
