This estate hand-crafted Kentucky 100% rye mashbill whiskey is aged for 5.5 years and finished in select Bordeaux wine barrels for nine months. Hand-selected barriques from Sauternes provide a delicious rich taste with hints of dried fruit, toffee, and a delicate almond finish.
Tasting notes
On this one, the nose offers vanilla frosting and a hint of bitter chocolate. Spice and sweetness meet happily on the palate, bringing chocolate-covered raspberries, brown sugar, baking spice, and lemon meringue pie. Water unlocks more spice, along with cocoa powder and dark chocolate. A creamy finish offers dried berries, bitter chocolate, and vanilla cream.
