This Bordeaux right-bank red comes from a estate with serious pedigree: Château de Francs is co-owned by the families behind Château Angélus and Château Cheval Blanc, farming clay-limestone soils just outside Saint-Émilion. Les Cerisiers blends 90% Merlot with Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 12-14 months in barrel, a third of it new oak, yielding black cherry and plum fruit with soft spice and velvety tannins. Pour it alongside roasted duck or a well-marbled steak.
