Terraced by hand along the Saint-Émilion border, this Grand Cru Classé estate farms some of the region's only hillside rows carved into dry-stone terraces. The blend leans heavily Merlot with a Cabernet Franc backbone, fermented partly straight in barrel before 15-18 months of oak aging coaxes out black cherry, cassis, and a savory, salt-edged finish. Pour it alongside braised short rib or a wedge of aged Gouda.
