Overview

Château Rampeau comes from Entre-Deux-Mers, the sliver of Bordeaux tucked between the Garonne and Dordogne rivers, where winemaker Bernard Meynaud rebuilt his family's old estate vine by vine. The blend leans on Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon in equal measure, rounded out with Cabernet Franc, giving crushed blueberry and cola notes over black cherry and redcurrant, with a dusty tannic grip. Pour it alongside roasted duck or a good aged cheddar.
