Casa Magdalena Ron Blanco is a Guatemalan white rum born from a partnership between Portland's House Spirits Distillery and Ingenio Magdalena, Central America's largest sugar producer. Cane grown in volcanic soil near Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango is harvested and column-distilled by the Leal family, then aged and bottled in Portland over six to twelve months. Expect yellow flowers, grass, and white chocolate on the nose, with coconut, marshmallow, and a whisper of lime on the plush palate. Built for a proper daiquiri.
