Casa Maestri's reposado comes from a family project started in 2008 in Jalisco by husband-and-wife team Michael and Celia Maestri, who cook their blue agave in traditional stone ovens for more than 48 hours before resting the spirit eight months in one-time-use whiskey barrels. That finish shows: vanilla and cinnamon layer over steamed agave, with fresh citrus threading through the finish. It arrives in a hand-designed blue ceramic bottle. Pour it neat or over one large cube to let the barrel notes unfold.
