Here's a genuine transatlantic handshake: Brothership marries 10-year-old Irish pot still whiskey from Connacht Distillery in Ballina with 10-year-old American whiskey from Philadelphia's New Liberty, roughly a 52/48 split blended by distiller Robert Cassell. Bottled at 45% ABV, it opens floral and bright with honey, hay, and citrus zest, then turns to toffee, clover honey, and chewy dried fruit before a cocoa-tinged finish. Pour it neat or over a single big cube and let both sides of the Atlantic talk.
Tasting notes
Grassy, grainy, and floral on the nose, with hints of citrus, grape soda, and apples. The palate is creamy, fruity, sweet, and light, with creamed corn, milk chocolate, and grassy and floral notes. There's a hint of spice and a milk chocolate finish
