Before gin existed, there was genever — the malty, juniper-spiced Dutch original — and Bols has been distilling it in Amsterdam since 1575. This barrel-aged expression rests 18 months in French Limousin oak, turning golden and taking on rich, bready spice alongside juniper, oak, and a fruit-forward finish. Bottled at 42% ABV in limited quantities. Try it the traditional Dutch way — neat, chased with a cold beer — or stirred into a Very Old Fashioned to let that oak character lead.
