Binyamina Yogev Cabernet/Petit Verdot is a dry red wine from Binyamina Winery, one of Israel's largest producers, based in the town of Binyamina. This Yogev-series blend pairs roughly 80% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from Galilee and Golan Heights vineyards with about 20% Petit Verdot grown on the Gilboa — two Bordeaux-native varieties gaining backbone from the Cabernet and deep purple-black color and black-fruit intensity from the Petit Verdot, rounded out with a hint of anise-like spice. Full-bodied and best opened ahead of time to soften, it's built for grilled steak, braised short rib, or aged hard cheese.
