Piedmont's Dolcetto rarely gets top billing next to Barolo, but Beni di Batasiolo treats it with the same care—hand-harvested in late September from their Langhe hillside estates, fermented in stainless steel, then given quiet time in bottle before release. The result is ruby-red with violet edges, loaded with crushed red fruit and a signature bitter-almond snap on the finish. Pour it slightly cool alongside charcuterie or a simple pasta al pomodoro.
