Folle Blanche is the grape that nearly vanished from Armagnac after phylloxera swept through in 1862, and today it makes up just a sliver of the region's vines, so a single-varietal bottling like this is a genuine find. Artez distills it once at the estate in Bas Armagnac and rests it at least ten years in Monlezun oak, no sugar or caramel added. Expect white peach blossom, dried apricot, and orange peel over brown sugar and vanilla. Pour it neat after dinner and let it open.
