Barrell Craft Spirits Rum J856 is a single-barrel release from the Louisville, Kentucky blending house's Private Release Rum program. Barrell sources aged Caribbean rum stocks — traditionally Barbados, Jamaica, and Guyana, plus rhum agricole from Martinique — then marries each barrel in a unique secondary cask, often one that previously held wine or another spirit, for a final finishing period in Kentucky's climate. Like every Private Release, J856 is bottled at natural cask strength with no chill filtration or dilution, so expect a bold, layered pour with tropical fruit, molasses, and baking-spice character. Try it neat or over a single large ice cube.
