Coruba's origin story is pure happy accident: a Swiss merchant fell for Jamaican rum in 1889 and built a company around it — the name is short for Compagnie Rhumière de Bâle. The rum is distilled in Jamaica from molasses using a blend of pot and column stills, then aged in oak for a couple of years before final blending in Switzerland. Expect brown sugar, ripe banana, and baking spice on the nose, with a long, warming finish. Great in a Mai Tai or a dark 'n' stormy.
