Overview

Named for South Africa's shy, shadow-loving bream, this Pinot Noir comes from a cool, secluded plot in Walker Bay that B Vintners' founders singled out from the rest of their land. Mostly destemmed and aged in older French oak, it pours pale and silky, with forest-floor and rooibos aromas layered over red cherry, pomegranate, and a dusting of cocoa. Lively acidity keeps it food-friendly — pour it slightly chilled alongside roasted salmon or mushroom risotto.
