Overview

Most gins reach for the same juniper-and-citrus playbook. Amass took a different route, distilling a corn base with 29 organic botanicals — eleven of them sourced around Los Angeles, a few from Master Distiller Morgan McLachlan's own backyard. The result is bright and herbaceous up front, with hibiscus, cardamom and California bay leaf, then an earthy, savory undertow from reishi and lion's mane mushrooms. Pour it into a Negroni or a crisp gin and tonic and let the botanicals do the talking.
