Behind the name is a simple story: 88 Tequila comes from Tequilera Don Roberto's La Purisima distillery in the lowlands of Tequila, Jalisco, made from 100% blue agave. This reposado rests six to eight months in oak, picking up a soft gold hue and layered notes of cooked agave, butter, toasted pecan, and vanilla with a gentle caramel warmth. Bottled at 40% ABV, it's smooth enough to sip neat but sturdy enough for a margarita or old fashioned.
