1848 Winery's Grand Reserve Dry Red is a small-batch Israeli blend from Galilee vineyards, built from 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Petite Sirah, 11% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Franc. Each component ages separately in French oak for 12 months before the final blend spends another 18 months in barrel, mostly new oak. Expect a deep ruby wine with rich, velvety dark fruit, notes of spice and vanilla, and a long, harmonious finish. Production is tightly limited, so it rewards slow sipping — pour it alongside grilled lamb, aged steak, or hard cheese, and let it breathe.
