Argaman is Israel's own grape — bred at the Volcani Institute from Carignan and Portugal's Souzão, named for the biblical word for crimson. This single-vineyard bottling comes from Ramat Sirin in the Galilee, where volcanic basalt soil pushes the fruit toward deep color and bright acidity. Expect raspberry and ripe cherry aromas, velvety tannins, and a full-bodied black-fruit finish. Pour it alongside grilled lamb or a peppery hard cheese.
