135° East Hyogo Dry Gin isn't your typical London Dry. Kaikyo Distillery in Akashi, Japan — the town the 135th meridian runs straight through — builds it on classic juniper, angelica, and coriander, then layers in sencha tea, yuzu, shiso, and sansho pepper, each botanical distilled separately before blending to keep its character distinct. It's a nod to the Taisho era, when Japan was pulling Western influences into its own traditions. Pour it over ice with tonic and a twist of lime.
