Woodford Reserve's standard bourbon gets cut down to 90.4 proof before bottling — Batch Proof skips that step, blending over a hundred barrels and bottling wherever the natural proof lands. This year that's 121.2, built from the same 72% corn, 18% rye, 10% malted barley mash bill triple-distilled in copper pots at the Versailles, Kentucky distillery. Expect caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak up front, dark chocolate and honey through the middle, a long fade of caramelized sugar and black pepper. Add one ice cube and let it open up.
