The Westland Distillery Solum 1st Edition American Single Malt is a unique and complex single malt whiskey. This whiskey is made from a mash bill of five different malts, including two-row pale malt, Munich malt, chocolate malt, and peated malt. The whiskey is then aged in new American oak barrels for a minimum of three years. The result is a whiskey with a deep, complex flavor profile that is both smooth and robust. The whiskey has notes of dark chocolate, toffee, and smoky peat, with a hint of spice. This whiskey is perfect for sipping neat or in a classic cocktail.
Tasting notes
Nose: Spiced apple and toasted oak lead the way, with cinnamon snaps, hints of cranberry, charred herbs, and smoked hickory.
Palate: Vibrant peat and those smoky charred herbs carry through, joined by earthen coffee grounds and oaken vanilla.
