Tipsy Sauce - Caramel Hard Sauce
From Seattle's Westland Distillery, this single-cask pick spent nearly four years resting in new American oak before an unusual finish: over two and a half years in an ex-tequila barrel from Rocky Mountain Barrel Company. The result is a five-malt single malt bottled at barrel proof, layered with caramel, blackberry, roasted grain, and a whisper of agave-tinged spice on the finish. Built for slow sipping neat, it's a pour for anyone curious where Pacific Northwest single malt meets tequila-cask experimentation.
Tasting notes
Nose: box chocolates, cherry pie filling, Cadbury Egg, blackberry jam, maple, hints of dark citrus & applewood
Taste: toasted caramel, wheat toast & jelly, sweet & savory malt, Roman nougat, raisin bran, faint mocha coffee
Finish: long & textured w/ smoky vanilla, grilled pear, charred oak, singed lime peel, waves of vibrant earthy spice
