Overview

From La Morra in Italy's Langhe hills, twins Mirko and Federica Martini continue their father Gianni Voerzio's Barolo tradition. This Classico comes from 100% Nebbiolo of the Michet clone, planted in 1971 on clay-and-limestone soil, hand-harvested in small crates, then aged 24-30 months in French oak tonneaux. Expect garnet color, spice and dried-flower aromatics, vanilla, and a full, soft palate with balanced tannins and cocoa. Pour it with braised short rib or aged Piedmontese cheese.
