Tres Generaciones La Colonial pays tribute to the Guadalajara nightclub Don Eladio Sauza opened in the late 1930s, and it's made the old way: agave crushed under a tahona stone, then rested in charred American oak. The result pours gold with aromas of sweet agave, vanilla, and a whisper of smoky wood. Expect soft wood tannins, medium body, and a clean finish of lingering white pepper. Lovely sipped neat or over a single cube.
