In 1973, Don Francisco Javier Sauza crafted what's rumored to be tequila's first-ever añejo—this Vol. 3 release recreates that original recipe from La Perseverancia distillery. Blue Weber agave is slow-roasted in masonry ovens, tahona-crushed, then double-distilled in copper pots before resting fourteen months in charred, seven-year-old American oak. Expect deep amber color, charred wood and smoke up front, easing into vanilla, caramel, red apple, and almond at 45% ABV. Sip it neat to catch every layer.
