Most cristalino tequilas are just filtered blanco — this one's built backwards. Tierra Noble ages its reposado in oak up at La Estacada, one of the highest tequila distilleries on earth in the mountains above Mazamitla, then re-distills to strip the color while keeping the flavor. What's left: bright grapefruit and orange over cocoa, marzipan, and a surprisingly creamy, buttery texture from a secondary fermentation borrowed from winemaking. Try it chilled, neat, in a glass built for slow sipping.
