For the third edition of Story of the Distillery, Suntory chose Minase Falls — a renowned water site near the Yamazaki distillery — as the motif, rendered on the bottle's traditional Echizen washi wrap. The 2026 blend draws on Spanish oak and American white oak casks for a no-age-statement single malt of deep, layered sweetness.
Expect dried persimmon and a hint of clove on the nose, a full, multi-layered palate of red bean and orange marmalade, and a long finish carrying light smoke and light spice. Released by ballot in Japan in May 2026.
