Finished in a 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Hogshead, this whisky exemplifies the bold richness of sherry cask maturation. The cask imparts an indulgent array of dark fruits—blackberries, raisins, and plums—along with complementary layers of toffee, chocolate, and warm spices. The extended rerack period allowed the sherry's complexity to fully integrate with Dalrymple’s smooth, approachable spirit, resulting in a robust yet balanced dram.
Nose: A rich and "thick" aroma of dark maple syrup, treacle, and dark berries immediately fills the senses. Wood spices, cinnamon, cloves, and a hint of dark chocolate add depth and warmth.
