The Prisoner built its reputation on bold red blends, so it's a nice surprise that the Carneros Chardonnay leans into that same layered, indulgent style in white form. Grapes from Carneros are blended with a splash of Viognier and Gewürztraminer, then aged roughly ten months in a mix of old and new French oak, picking up crème brûlée, baked apple, and toasted oak alongside brighter pineapple and vanilla. At 14.5% ABV, it's rich enough for halibut with browned butter, lemon, and capers, or a classic grilled cheese.
