The Lost Explorer Tobalá is a 10-year-old agave mezcal handcrafted by maestro mezcalero Fortino Ramos in San Pablo Huixtepec, Oaxaca. It's made from 100% wild Agave potatorum (Tobalá) harvested at a full decade of growth, then double distilled the traditional way. Expect a dry-tobacco and cocoa aroma, a palate of vanilla with leather and clay, and a smooth, earthy finish touched with citrus and fresh grass. Sip it neat in a copita to let the slow-grown agave's complexity unfold, or pour alongside dark chocolate or aged cheese.
