The Irishman - Single Sherry Cask Malt Irish Whiskey
The Irishman 17 Year Old is an exciting Single Malt. A highly exclusive expression – just three casks are produced each year. Each bottle comes numbered by cask as a mark of quality. Triple distilled, non-chill filtered, and crafted from a mash bill made entirely of Irish barley. Bottled at 56% ABV.
Nose: Shows some refined sherry cask influence suggesting balance finesse. Aromas of dried apricots, exotic fruits, toasted spices, citrus peel, candied fruits and marshmallows.
Palate: Powerful at full strength with some delicious spice and oak flavours to start. As it evolves in the mouth the flavours become fruitier with dried citrus peel, apricot, exotic fruits and cinnamon. The finish is long a spicy with a touch of grippy tannin from the oak.
