Glenlivet 15 goes by a fuller name: the French Oak Reserve. Its signature move is a stretch in new French Limousin oak from the Dordogne, whose loose, porous grain lets the spirit soak up more of the wood's character. The result leans rich and spiced: orchard pear and apple, raisin and dried fruit on the nose, then cinnamon, clove and warm oak across a full palate that dries into a long, peppery finish laced with honey. Speyside single malt at 40% ABV. Pour it neat and let it open.
