The Dalmore 12 is a Highland single malt that leans into orange, chocolate and spice — the distillery's signature house style. It spends around nine years in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, then part of it moves into 30-year-old Matusalem oloroso sherry casks. The result: honeycomb and orange zest on the nose, citrus, toffee and cinnamon across the palate, and a long, sweet finish of apricot and vanilla. Bottled at 40%, it's a rewarding pour neat or over a single cube.
Tasting notes
Aroma: Citrus fruits, chocolate and aromatic spices.
Taste: Concentrated citrus, oloroso sherry and hints of vanilla pod.
