Here's a reposado with a backstory: the family's been distilling since the 1920s, and this one is patient work. The agave slow-bakes in steam ovens, gets double-distilled in a copper Alembique still, then rests eight months in older French oak with a medium toast. Expect baked agave and cinnamon on the nose, caramel and butterscotch on the palate, and a soft floral finish. It earned Gold at the 2021 San Diego International Wine & Spirits Challenge. Sip it neat, or over a single big cube.
