Most coffee liqueurs lean sticky-sweet, but this one revives an 18th-century recipe, a style so old the name nods to Yemen's Port of Mocha. Tempus Fugit distills Ethiopian beans from Sidamo and Yirgacheffe with neutral eau-de-vie, then blends in cold brew and a little cane sugar, no artificial flavors or color. The result is nutty roasted-coffee aroma, a flash of sweetness, and dark-berry and floral notes at 25% ABV. Pour it over ice or build it into an espresso martini.
