Tassi has farmed Montalcino for four generations, and this Brunello comes straight from their namesake vineyard in Castelnuovo dell'Abate. It's Sangiovese through and through, fermented with indigenous yeasts in wooden vats through a slow 20-30 day maceration, then aged two years in large Slavonian oak casks — the classic Brunello approach that builds structure without masking the fruit. Expect firm tannin and bright acidity built for the table. Pour it with braised short ribs or aged pecorino.
