Swift Sure's Pinot Noir comes from a single vineyard in Bannockburn, Central Otago, New Zealand, where an elevated, north-facing terrace above the Kawarau River drinks in schist-flecked soil and sharp alpine light. The result is a medium-bodied, dry pinot with dark cherry and red plum at its core, threaded with cocoa and light spice and finished by fine, silky tannins. The label is the southern outpost of Waiheke's Man O'War Vineyards. Pour it with roast lamb, mushroom risotto, or a simple grilled steak.
